14th October 2007

Hunter’s luck brings glee,
My stomach churns in horror,
Dex sees life’s cycle.

13th October 2007

Idyllic gold light,
Warms our backs as we return,
Elated to ride.

12th October 2007

Above the snow line,
Lies a quilt of white glitter,
Magical landscape.

11th October 2007

Giant Buddha gleams,
Prayer wheels turn, pigeons fly,
At home with gold monks.

10th October 2007

Jewel bright brocades,
Cluster jostling on hangers,
My excitement peaks.

9th October 2007

Trans-Mongolian,
Rocks us to sleep with motion,
Jet lag taking toll.

8th October 2007

After steep climb up,
Emergency banana,
Is necessary.

7th October 2007

Purple prose spills forth,
As we all express our thoughts,
Tony records it.

6th October 2007

“Not worryable”,
Dexter’s happy frame of mind,
Refuses to fear.

5th October 2007

Destination marked,
Mongolia stretches out,
On Hackney pavement.

4th October 2007

Buoyant mood is crushed,
Card and time chewed by the bank,
Safety net removed.

3rd October 2007

Sewing under-clothes,
Preparing to leave my web,
Wrapped in silk cocoon.

2nd October 2007

Tony records me,
Pinpointing my hopes and fears,
"I trust him to lead".

1st October 2007

I plough through the crowd,
Racing to find things on list,
Survival shopping.
